LAHORE: A motorbike rider youth, engineering student of Punjab University new campus, was killed as his bike barged into a parked trawler on the underway located near university on Tuesday.
The unfortunate student was rushed to hospital after accident in a very critical condition, witnesses said, adding he had succumbed to fatal injuries on the spot.
The accident sparked violence by furious Punjab University students protesting over the sad demise of their university fellow. Mob of students also block the Kenale road for two hours.
Police said bereaved family refused to take legal action against any one after which police handed over dead body to the family.
